We had a amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria. The staff were really very friendly and courteous and helpful. Special shout-out to the team at the Pool bar(Vivek and Alan) who so very helpful and made us feel at home away from home.. We would definitely go back again for sure

If you planning a nice vacation, Waldorf Astoria in RAK is your best choice. The place is wonderful; So as the beach, the staff and the facilities. Ms. Michelle took good care of us at time of check in. Although we waited 3o minutes before we received the room key as it was under sanitization, our check out time was extended from 11 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. so we had more time to spend in this wonderful resort. This was a very nice gesture from M/s Michele.

Amazing hotel, my last stay here. Needs renovation.”
In my opinion, it’s still the best 5 stars hotel in RAK, the prices are okay for a five star hotel. But I think it’s time for a much needed renovation. I stayed in this hotel many times for the past four years, every time I see things showing wear and tear. The bathtubs needs maintenance, in all the rooms I stayed in they were chipped, which is unacceptable for a five starts hotel. The toilets should be cleaned better, many times I smelled urine and couple of times I saw some spots on the toilet, I don’t complain to the hotel so they don’t fire someone because of me. The bathroom sink area needs a deep clean, you can clearly see the silicone and it’s black and moldy. I also changed rooms because the toilet seat was broken, no way they didn’t notice that. Also the room randomly gets a foul smell, bathroom like smell from the AC unit, also I had to change my room because the AC unit wasn’t working probably. The furniture (especially sofas and cabinets) are poorly cleaned, they have stains on them, some are poorly fixed, I saw a white sofa that was sewed with a black thread poorly. You can clearly see dust everywhere, especially in corners and on top of cabinets and on the beautiful art they have. I stay for a long time every time , they only brought fruit platter once, they should bring one every single day, like most luxury hotels. It saddens me this is my last stay here, but I don’t like spending too much money in a hotel and not be happy. They should definitely improve and train their cleaning staff, and maintain what’s broken. Small details like these could lower their loyal customers. In the positive side, they try to help you have a better stay, they upgraded my room for free after waiting for a long time tho.

- Too expensive compared to what you get there.. - no activities in the night (ghost town) unlike other places. - everything is chargeable even though you pay a big fortune to stay 1 night there - not the cleanest place.. you can pay less than half and get a better cleaner place - I won't go again and do not recommend it

Weekend Retreat”
We had a wonderful stay at the Waldorf Astoria. Just a night away from Dubai, but it really did feel like a holiday. We didn't try the spa or the gym facilities, but the beach and pool area was beautiful. Despite being a big hotel, it was very quiet and peaceful. We had dinner at Umi, the Japanese restaurant, and enjoyed every course - the only minor complaint was not being able to order teppanyaki unless seated at the grill. We upgraded the room to a suite, and it was very spacious and nicely laid out. A difficult place to leave!

We arrived at the Waldorf and immediately felt like royalty. Our room was upgraded by the hotel which was a nice surprise. The food was fantastic. Service was great. The pool was just the right temperture for the heat at this time of year. We did not use the beach but did go and look. Fantastic setup. It was a wonderful weekend getaway for us and the Waldorf made it fantastic.
