Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings”
We booked after seeing Water Coconut was a new villa style accommodation just on the outskirts of the city of Hoi An. We wanted some peace and tranquility after being in Hue for too many days, this was just what we wanted as a base to explore the city and beaches nearby. The owner made our stay incredibly enjoyable (we even booked an additional day because we loved it so much here!). The villas are very spacious beach style bungalow types. They are all ensuite and you have a little patio area that overlooks the fishing lake at the back. They reminded me of the type of accommodation you get when you book at those 5* resorts in Mauritius or Jamaica, it's a very chilled out tropical feel. The taxi ride out here took roughly 5 minutes. There are bicycles available for free, which you can use to travel into town or to the nearby beach, its actually a great location because you are nestled halfway between the town and the beach and both are 10-15 minutes away. You can also hire owner moped for the day which was cheap and let us travel further afield. The service he gave us was 5* throughout our stay and is a very friendly guy who will make you feel comfortable and feel at home. If you eat with the family at any point, you will be treated to food that is grown all on his land and from the fishing lake. It was a great experience being here and are truly sad to leave.

Get away from the tourists and noise of Hoi An Town”
Located about 3kms from Hoi An town, these lovely family owned villas are quiet and comfortable, away from the touting of the markets, store owners and taxi drivers of Hoi An town. This is where the true beauty of Hoi An is, surrounded by rice paddies, fish farms and water coconut palm farms with friendly locals everywhere. It’s also a short scooter or taxi to the beach. The included breakfast is simple but a very tasty way to start the day; Hoi An baguettes and your choice of eggs or noodles and rice dishes cooked by the family. The pool is beautiful and clean and overlooks the picturesque countryside of Hoi An. We will definitely return.

Fanatastic Homestay near Hoi An”
In total we stayed 5 days in this lovely homestay, although we only planned to stay for 3 days. But we loved the very silent and laid back atmosphere in our homestay and also the beautiful city Hoi An. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere homestay with delicious breakfast the Water Coconut Homestay is the place to go! We can highly recommend to stay there! Motorbikes can be rented so that reaching Hoi An as well as beaches or even Da Nang ins no problem at all! The rooms are spacious clean and very nicely decorated! From your terrace younhave a nice view on the small lake. We can also recommend to do a cooking class with the homestay! We basically had a private class in which we went to a nearby vegetable farm, bought the infredients on a small market and afterwads prepared the meals outside in the beautiful surrounding of the garden together with our chef. The host will always help you book your trips and really takes care of his guests! You should definately go there!

Good location”
I enjoyed my three nights at the Water Coconut and if I return to Hoi An I will book at their home stay. The bikes I used (free) to go to town or the beach were in good condition which was not always the case at other places I stayed at on this trip. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. I especially enjoyed sitting out on my patio or using the swing next to the pond to relax. Also, one night all guests (7) were invited to a family-type meal which everyone seemed to enjoy since we spent over two hours eating and exchanging traveler tales. Did I mention the meal was free! If you are comfortable with getting around on a bicycle or renting one of their motorbikes then this is a good choice.

Fabulous place in Hoi An”
We really enjoyed our stay in water coconut. It is brand new and has great rooms. The owners are super nice and are trying very hard to make u feel comfy. We were taken to a weeding and ended up staying four nights instead of two. The proximity to the city and the beach is very handy. The free bikes allow you to enjoy both the beach and the city. Hoi An is a great place and Water Coxonut a great hotel to explore the area.

amazing secluded hotel in paradise & great food!”
We absolutely loved this hotel- and would not stay anywhere else in Hoi An if we make it back to Vietnam. While the hotel is slightly outside of the "ancient city", it gives you the opportunity to surround yourself in a local area surrounded by rice farms- which we loved- and allows you to escape the heat, people selling things, etc. They offer free bike rentals (a short ride into town and to the beach) and motorbike rentals. They are eager to assist and help in any way- from laundry to setting up tours, calling cabs, airport transfers, directions, etc. The backyard is extremely tranquil and relaxing.The rooms are updated and have wonderful AC units, wifi, along with French doors with beautiful views. All of the meals are cooked by the wife of the home stay owner, and it was the best food we had in Hoi An. The complimentary breakfast (offering Authentic Hoi An food) is also not your standard basic breakfast- it was a complete meal, and delicious! We also had one of the best dinners in all of Vietnam (and we are foodies from Chicago) at their home stay. Thank you for our wonderful stay!!!

WOW... you have to stay here!”
This place is really something special and I'm so glad we stayed here. There are only 5 villas and they all lookout over beautiful scenery, especially first thing in the morning with the sun rising through the coconut trees. The family are incredibly nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They gave us free bikes everyday to cycle into Hoi An or to the beach. I will most definitely be coming back, my favourite place on a 3 week trip!

Truly outstanding!”
This is one of the best places we have stayed in nine years living in Asia. The rooms, location and staff are all first rate. Delightfully quiet and peaceful, Water Coconut is still close to the center of Hoi An and its excellent beaches. You can go anywhere you need to go on a free bicycle. You'll even be given a raincoat if it looks like you might need it. We're already planning to return in October.

couldn't be better in Water Coconut!:)”
I really loved my stay in Water Coconut!!! planned to stay there for one night and then change for a hotel in the old town, but the first hour I arrived, talking to the beautiful receptionist Thu, seeing all the things Water Coconut offered, I fell in love with it! It was sad I couldn't extend my stay for the second night because all rooms were booked, but luckily I managed for the third night! everything is so perfect in Water Coconut! nice food, fresh fruit picked from the garden, morning reading in the garden by the lake, night star watching on the swing...and it's very close to the old town, free bike renting, about 15 minutes you can get to the old town!

One of my highlights in Vietnam”
Excellent. A very nice place to relax. A little bit away from the town but they can provide a motorbike / pushbike to get into town. The food is really nice too, the owner has farm land to the back of the villa so alot of the ingredients are as fresh as they can be. The friendliness of the staff and the high level of English spoken by the receptionist was very refreshing compared to other vietnamese hotels. I would definitely return should I return to Hoi An

Home from home”
We stayed a total of 9 nights here and enjoyed every minute.This is a small family run homestay and the owners made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived .the setting is wonderful and the accomodation is both spacious and clean .We were invited to and enjoyed a complimentary meal cooked by the wife of the owner ,a nice little touch.The location is a little way from Hoi An but the bicycles provided by the owners foc got us about the area without any problems .On the day of our departures we were pleasantly surprised to find that a complimentary car had been provided to get us to Danang.I would totally recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a quiet holiday in the Hoi an area

Quiet, perfect location and super friendly family ”
We enjoyed out time at Water Coconut homestay very much! The family is super friendly and tries to help when ever possible. Riding with the bicycles through the rice fields is also very nice, it's 10 min to Hoi and 10min to the beach....perfect!

Superb Countryside Homestay”
An amazing homestay situated about 20 minute by bicycle from hoi an centre. Or if you don't fancy cycling a taxi is around 70,000 dong /$3. The rooms are huge with double storey vaulted ceilings, large ensuites. King sized bed, flat screen cable TV and mini bar. Free bicycle hire is included and the cycle into town is wonderful, passing many paddy fields where farmers harvest their crop. The owner grows the majority of his own food and the bungalows overlook a small lake that he fishes in the mornings. The breakfast is fantastic with several of the ingrediants coming from the home stay farm, including freshly picked bananas. I'm glad we spent a few days outside the town to see a little bit of rural life. The family that run the home stay are so welcoming.

Relaxing, lush and restorative”
The Homestay as it is new can be a little hard to find, but keep an eye out for the signs on the street poles. It's a beautiful new set of bungalows. The owners are still learning how to be hosts and what international guests require but they are lovely and very acommodating. We really enjoyed staying here, on the free bikes it was easy to go to the beach and Hoi An in one day. Then chill out in peace and quiet back at the Villa when we wanted to. This was definitly our favourite place in Vietnam, and if you want some quiet time that is the place to go!

The exceptional service ever”
We really enjoy our time at Water Coconut, which make us feel home, not just the place to stay. We have a great private talk with the hotel owner and dinner made by his wife. It impressed us a lot about his personalities and friendliness and honesty. Also, we have some troubles during the trip there, he even can helped us to pay the service we used outside and we paid it back later. We definitely go back again in the future :)

This is a charmimg homestay in the paddy fields. ”
We had a friendly welcome at this lovely 5 bedroom homestay. We had connecting rooms, the terrace of which opened out to he beautiful gardens looking out over the paddy fields. The rooms were extremely comfortable and tastefully designed. Breakfast was served at the time we requested, in the lovely open restaurant. We used the free bike hire every day to cycle to the beach and the town of Hoi An. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend you stay here.

Right in the middle between Hoi An city center and the beach is this wonderful peaceful oasis. A very friendly owners family look after you and gives you all kind of advice. Bicycles are available to explore the surroundings. Rooms are contemporary designed and spacious. The pool is awesome.

Peaceful little country homestay”
This homestay was a lovely change to staying in busy central Hoi An. The homestay is a leisurely 20min bicycle ride to town. The owners are obviously just starting out and there are a few language barriers but they try their best to help out. The owners also grow a lot of their own produce onsite and as a result breakfast usually consists of something fresh from the garden which is a nice touch. The bathroom in our villa was huge with a fantastic shower. I would recommend this homestay for travellers looking for a secluded retreat just out of town and enjoy a little physical activity. I also think this is a homestay that will get better with experience and time.

The location is very near both the beach and the downtown. Hidden in a quiet coconut village. Super convenient and bring the best of two worlds. The family is very friendly and kind. Such a relaxing place to stay. Loved their fruit and flower gardens. We had great time and will definitely come back!
