"Stayed early July(cold) - We booked a double plus bunk for 3 nights followed by a 4th night (a triple) all booked via Agoda.com (2 seperate bookings)- For the first booking - I asked for 'a triple'if they could accommodate, and they did! Thanks. Excellent: New, good quality bath towels daily, beds made daily (no new sheets)not made on bunk(fair enough),walls, ceiling all very clean (no spiders),showers a quick mopped daily, very comfy beds, heating was excellent! Always 1 person at the service desk area.Really good value for money.Very solid bunk. A 5-star backpackers!Friendly staff.Straight down Federal Hwy approx 15 min to visitor centre then 20min to parlament house by car. Tips- bring a kettle. Other info - 2 common fridges available in the common hallway on first floor. We were on 1st floor- note: no lift. No foot towels. Follow sign on entry then NOTE to turn first left again into what looks like car parking then hang a right - then you'll find reception! Room is definitely small & tight on space but we had an excellent stay! "

"Hotels in Canberra are rather overpriced, so if you are not a spendthrift and just need a room for a good night's sleep, then this motel is to be highly recommended. It is in the northern edge of Canberra, in a quiet spot in Watson, even though it is just off the Federal Hwy (which becomes Northbourne Ave). We had 3 nights there and slept in every morning. There is no restaurant, but our room had a good refrigerator, microwave oven as well as the usual tea/coffee making facility."
