The best experience in Thailand”
An amazing experience at Wattana Village. The rooms were cozy with a rustic natural feeling. The morning buffet (included) was full of fruits, Thailand specialties, vegetables, eggs, juices, and more! The relaxing pool that the owner hosted with local Myanmar refugee children on the weekend was such a lively, rich and generous experience! The owner actually took us to the bus station when the taxi failed to timely arrive! We received 5-star treatment and I will surely stay there again on my next trip to Mae Sot! Most Beautiful resort in Mae Sot”
Great value for money. We have a car so transportation is easy. Taxis there might cost a bit (150 baht per trip?). Huge variety of lovely wooden lodgings in beautiful nature. Been here twice, definitely coming back.

Loved the buffet. The hospitality was fantastic. The owner is super cool and so helpful. She actually drove us to the bus station when the taxi didn't show up, she's amazing, kind, and generous and it's reflected in her staff as well.

Khungui the manager of the resort is the kindest welcoming person. We only stayed 1 night, but would have loved to stay longer. The pool was refreshing, the restaurant has good food and the staff is very kind. happy to come back anytime!! thank you for looking after us.

Love the place and the room”
I stayed for 2 nights and It was amazing. I love everything about the place. The garden in front of my room, the friendly cats roaming around (they will let you pet them), and the talking birds (will greet you in thai). I wish I can stay longer but its far from the markets and my partner's place so I had to move out. I'll miss everyone there and I'll definitely come back.

The staff and manager have excellent attention to detail. Great place to stay before a border crossing or a weekend in Tak / Mae Sot. You are booking a Thai resort, not the the 4 Seasons, so have appropriate expectations. The property and staff are great, Pool nice. Rooms are clean, Water is hot. Property is a local / traditional Thai style resort. Enjoy it.

It’s all a bit old. Needs renovation soon to stay good. The service was perfect and really fast. Got a lot of small “presents” every day. Cookies or fruits. Restaurant is okay as well. The location is okay if you don’t want to go to the city as it’s quiet far from Mae Sot.

Friendly staff and excellent accomodation”
this is a typical thai resort. we stayed in a bungalow which had clearly been renovated and was very comfortable. the bngalows are in extensive well kept grounds and are exceptionally clean. the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful despite their limited english. the restaurant serves excellent food in good portions at a very reasonable price. we cannot fault this hotel especially for the price and will stay here when next in mae sot. the only downside is that it is a little out of the way being around 4 km from mae sot. as we have a car this was not a problem for us.

Wattage Village Resort is a wonderful escape from the business of a bustling town. I stayed there 5 years ago and again this week. If anything the grounds and facilities are even better now. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a meal for 8 people and the food and service was amazing. A big thank you to the manager (Gik) for a wonderful stay. I'll definitely be back at Wattana Village Resort in the future.

Excellent”
It's a large resort with various types of accommodation set in some very attractive gardens.. The room I was in was showing some signs of wear (some floor panels broken at the edges, exposed fuse box, no bedside light switch) but it was spacious and perfectly clean. A kettle would have been a welcome addition. Most of the staff speak very little English, the exception being the manager, whose command of English was superb. All the staff were very helpful. The breakfast choices are comprehensive. In the evenings I ate at the resort and had the best steamed whole tilapia fish that I've ever tasted. Travellers should be aware that the resort is off the beaten track. It's tucked away in a rural area about 4km from the centre of Mae Sot. I was travelling in my own car. It might be difficult to get to without private transport. I don't know whether the hotel has its own facilities for carless travellers.

Excellent all round”
Most Thai places you can find a rubbish pile Somewhere , not here. The place is spotless and staff all most helpful. Meals and drinks all reasonably priced for a resort/Hotel where you often get fleeced and the food was excellent. Some may find the location 5k from Mae Sot a drawback but the staff will Run you in to town (and wouldn't take payment for us though may have been because going anyway) and worth it for the peaceful location away from the dirt and rat run of a border town. Ideal place to stay to unwind before or after crossing the border to Myanmar.
