paradise , amazing hospitality and great food”
white sands beach resort is indeed a great place to stay in siargao. an epitome of of peace, serene environment despite the fact that siargao was a surfing destination, we found the turquoise beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling since the waves are calm. this place is also gifted with owners whom exude amazing hospitality and generosity. they can make you feel that you are at home. the famous bollox bar is also in this resort and you should try their famous bollox burger, chicken curry etc. our stay was extended for two days du to weather but we never felt bad but instead, we enjoyed our stay. we felt relaxed, more peaceful and energized. if you want to go surfing, just ask for a contact number of "habal2x" since it's much cheaper compared to hiring a tricycle or any other mode of transportation. yes, gen. luna and cloud 9 is 1 hr away but i will never replace the comfort of food, peace, and hospitality when i go home from surfing.

This location is amazing! A beautiful and peaceful white beach, clear water and nothing else than this small resort around. We’ve booked the Beachfront Chalet, so we could see the ocean directly from our bed. So close we’ve could almost jump into it from our veranda. Just a couple of palm trees in the view good for mounting a hammock. So nice, so refreshing. so relaxing! The resorts own Bollox Bar is a cool place to hang out, meet nice people and play pool. You could enjoy great food there – from local Philippine cuisine to fresh fish to the best burgers on the whole island. And of course they serve refreshing drinks like e.g fresh coconuts or cold beers (local brands , as well as brands from all over the world) And last but not least, the owners Alan & Cecilia are most friendly & supportive. The help you with everything you need e.g. renting a motorbike, getting local tourist information or a taxi ride from the airport. We definitely loved our stay at the White Sands Paradise Beach resort!

Beautiful location right on the beach ”
Great place to stay. The beach is beautiful, long white sandy beach, great for swimming snorkelling. Really quiet beach, it's much quieter at this end of the island. The guest house and bar is run by a friendly entertaining couple and the staff are helpful. The bar serves good food and cheapest beer on the island. Lots of surfers stay or stop in at the bar, but would be equally good for a few days relaxing on the beach. They rented us a scooter and gave us good info about the area. A few things weren't working in the standard room when we arrived, tv and wifi.. But as they had no one staying in the superior room they bumped us up for free. The standard room is fine if you are looking for a budget room (surf trip type room) but if you want a relaxing beach holiday I would go for the more expensive (still cheap) room on the beach. Like I say food here is good and great value but If you want to eat elsewhere for a change the coffee stop in Pacifico did an amazing veggi curry!!

White Sands Rocked”
I enjoyed a weeks stay at the White Sands resort with my wife and daughter and we all had a relaxing and entertaining week. The owner is a very funny man who makes jokes about being the best looking and best pool player on the island, although he met his match in me! His wife is a lovely, friendly and helpful lady. The rest of the staff were also very hard working and friendly. We started our stay as customers and left as friends....... We look forward to visiting this resort again and I would fully recommend anybody to stay here.

If peaceful & friendly is what you're looking for, then you will find plenty of it here at White Sands. Alan & Ces are fantastic hosts and have a wealth of local knowledge to help with your stay. We stayed in the beachfront accommodation, which was clean, had hot water shower, a TV and A/C. There's a good selection of food and beers at great prices in the Bollox Bar (cheapest on the island, all served by the most handsome bloke on the island as well, as Alan will tell you!) A true piece of paradise, great for the family in a quiet and peaceful setting, friendly people and very affordable! We will be back soon. Cheers!!!

Snorkeling, eating, drinking and relaxing paradise”
Alan, Ces and Xander are the best hosts. The beachfront chalet is like a little home right on the most perfect remote beach. Great swimming, snorkeling, and firefly shows right off the porch. Satellite tv, comfortable bed and furniture and total privacy. No loud music through the middle of the night like in General Luna. The Bollox Bar and Restaurant serves gourmet burgers better than most found in the US. Really all of the food was good from breakfast to dinner, especially the kinilaw and the eggs. 25p beers are ice cold and plentiful. My favorite resort in the Philippines.

I was looking for paradise and I've found it! If you are looking for a desert long white beach, palm trees, prestine waters and friendly staff...here is the place. Alan & Cecilia will make your stay just unforgettable. They are always ready to help and to contribute to make your stay a great experience. Great adventure”
Magnificent hotel with an ocean view just outside your window, an absolutely gorgeous beach, wildlife as it is. The house is located just beside the shore, everything is very comfortable. The food is just marvellous, real connoisseurs will find a large variety of dishes and drinks to their taste. The hosts, Alan and Cecilia, deserve a special note as the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve met. My return flight was cancelled and getting home proved to be quite an adventure, but with their kind help I made it on time for the flight. Thank you so much! Have fun and good luck to both of you, I hope I’ll visit you again. I definitely advise everyone to visit this beautiful place! 10 points out of 10 possible!

Beautiful location”
What a wonderful location. Magnificent reef fringed lagoon and white beach. Overwhelming staff friendliness and great laid back atmosphere. Bollox bar is great with good food and drinks and pool table .Close to village of Baybay and not far from Burgos and Pacifico. Away from the main surfing area and so peaceful and restful.Kayak to use and motor bike to rent.The only thing I would be a little critical of is the accom. A little sub standard regarding maintenance and cleaning of the rooms. Improve this and it would be a higher rating. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

Our hosts, Al, Cec & Alex were exceptional, a lot of 5 star hotels could learn from their customer service. We stayed 7 nights in the beachfront accommodation. The food was delicious, individually cooked to your liking and the beer was cold. Unfortunately the Pool Room was being renovated and Big Mo could not challenge Angle Al to a game. We definitely arrived as guests and left as friends.

Peaceful location not really near anything else unless you have wheels. WiFi was iffy to nonexistent but it's in the middle of nowhere so that's expected. If you're just looking for a few days on a beach, buying food from the hotel then it's great.

We had a great time: good food, nice room, good air con, cable tv. There's a nice waterfall about 40 minutes away and the drive along that untouched bit of coast is breathtaking.

The quiet side of paradise ”
Nice. Don't expect good Internet or cell phone coverage on this part of the island. Both are spotty at best. Cecilia and Allen do offer some western food items like hamburgers that are real and people seem to enjoy them.

NOT A Paradise ”
We stayed at White Sands for three days and three nights. After the first day we wanted to leave. The common spaces in White Sands were dirty and poorly kept. The food took a long time to prepare and was bland and tasteless. There was no fresh water in the rooms; instead there was an old water bottle filled with room temperature water. When we asked for a unopened fresh bottle of water, the owner told us that they could only fill water from a jug. Less than a mile down you can buy fresh cool sealed bottled water, but we were never provided that, as paying guests. I felt that the bottles they provided were dirty and there was no way to attest to their level of sanitation before being reused. We often left the resort to buy fresh water which should have been provided by the hotel. Everything closed early or it felt like no one was working. We went to get a beer at 8pm one evening and the bar was closed, even though signs said it was open until 12pm. You can guess how this would be an issue when your hotel is miles away from anything else. It often felt like the staff was on vacation and not us. Our little room was falling apart. There were many holes and crannies that needed repair but have been neglected. Because of this, our room was filled with lizards and roaches, ants and flying bugs. We're fine cohabitating with some outside creatures, but this was excessive. It was uncomfortable to sleep at night because I woke up a few times with ants biting me and many lizards hanging over our bed. One even fell and almost hit my head. After that it was very hard to relax. If the room was better insulated, it could keep more of the creatures out and more of the cool air from the AC in. The room we stayed in was marketed well but in reality is falling apart and disgusting. Again, it felt like the hotel staff was on vacation instead of us. We came back from a full day of adventures and the room hadn't been cleaned. We had to ask for someone to clean the room and give

When this guest arrived he complained that we were too far away from GL and our other guests were too old, so I suggested he cancel his booking and transfer to GL he refused, sriram was a young rude Indian man in his 20s with his partner, both were vegetarians. Later when sriram came into our restaurant we were very busy, he said he DEMANDED service instantly and DEMANDED a private chef to cook all his vegetarian meals, and to use new and unused untensils that had not cooked other foods, this I said was not possible, but our staff can prepare vegetarian foods for them e.g. Fresh fish etc,, he snapped back,,we don't eat fish,,only vegetables, boiled vegetables only,, this caused amusing comments from our Australian guests , sriram was a rude and arrogant person who after his 3 nights stay DEMANDED a refund for his food and drinks, this was refused, then sriram said, if he's not refunded he threatened us by saying he would write a bad review, after paying his bill he was TOLD TO LEAVE,
