Family Reunion”
I met my daughter, who lives in Europe, in London and we stayed at the Windermere Hotel. Its location to start with was a really easy walk from Victoria Station. We had a walk around and headed to Westminster and Southbank which were not far. The buses back also stopped really close. From our first arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely, small but beautifully appointed. The bathroom was large and modern with the shower having a choice of two shower heads, depending on your preference. I would definitely stay at the Windermere Hotel again. Great find in the heart of London.

A First-time London Experience”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windermere Hotel! The hotel staff were very courteous, attentive to detail and very accommodating to our questions as first-time tourists to London. This hotel is just a few blocks from Victoria Station which provided extensive access to trains and the London Underground. It is within walking distance of Buckingham Palace and sites along the Thames River. For convenience and a nice quiet hotel of smaller size, this place was superb. I would definitely consider staying at the Windermere again.

Gem in midst of huge city”
We recently stayed 5 nites at the Windermere Hotel while on an extended vacation to London. We asked for a larger room when booking and found it to be most pleasant. We had daily maid service and all our needs were met. The reception staff were fantastic in helping us with selection of tours and how to navigate around London. The breakfast was most delicious and the ladies working there were so pleasant and courteous. Will definitely select Windermere at our next visit to London.

Exceptional”
We stayed in the Windermere for two nights in July, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The location was ideal, only a short walk from the underground station so that everything was easy accessibly, and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The room itself (Classic Double) was lovely, very clean and spacious. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning, and really set us up for the day. The staff were very friendly and ready to help with any queries we had. The hotel was perfect for our brief stay in London, we shall hopefully return soon!

Very good experience”
My wife and I travelled by taxi from London City Airport to Windermere Hotel, stayed overnight, had breakfast and caught a coach from Victoria Coach Station to Tilbury to go on a cruise. We had booked a taxi for the return journey 13 days later, from the hotel to the airport and were accommodated very willingly, although we were not staying overnight. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Roomy and centrally located”
We had a wonderful stay at the Windermere. After staying in a traditional cramped London hotel for the previous 5 nights staying in the one bedroom apartment seemed luxurious. We used it as a base to sightsee which proved to be great due to it's walkable proximity to Victoria Station. The staff was very helpful and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. There is a terrific Thai restaurant right around the corner on Hugh Street.

Your search is over.....”
It's hard to find a great hotel whilst trying to keep the cost down when searching for hotels in London but if toucan get great value for money in london(!) then this is it. The one bedroom apartment has everything you need and gives you more than ample space for two people. Fully equipped kitchen with new and branded amenities and the owners haven't scrimped on anything. A lovely building in a nice and quiet pocket of London with only around an 8 minute walk to/from Victoria underground. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and a tesco and Sainsburys too so you can stock up full size large fridge freezer. Didn't eat at the hotel's brasserie so can't comment but the menu looked good. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Located close to both coach and train/underground station it's easy to be any where you need in London. Buckingham Palace and Westminster are within walking distance. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants in the area. Will definitely stay again

A gem of a hotel”
I went to London with my adult son to see Hamilton. Very easy to get from Gatwick to Victoria via Gatwick Express and then a gentle 10min walk to the hotel. Loved the quiet privacy of this hotel which I didn't expect in busy London. Staff helpful and welcoming. Booked pre show meal for 5pm (which was delicious, well cooked and, value for money) then ambled along to the Show. Undisturbed sleep then a really yummy breakfast (all the usual continental offerings AND a wonderful cooked to order they way you wanted that really sets you up for the day. Waiting staff couldn't have been more attentive & helpful). Did a bit of sightseeing, all within easy reach on foot ( eg Buckingham Palace), and made use of the wonderful green open spaces of Green Park and Hyde Park which gets you away from the crowds before walking back to the hotel to pick up bag before heading for home. Very successful trip. Would highly recommend the Windemere Hotel.

Enjoyed our stay. ”
My Wife and I had 2 nights here before we caught a flight out of Gatwick. It was very close to the Victoria Train and coach station, which made this location ideal to catch bus/train to Gatwick airport. We really enjoyed it's locations, as it was a short walk to restaurants, pubs, the tube etc. The room was a little small, but it was very comfortable. I feel that the staff were fantastic at the front desk and in the morning for breakfast. The Windermere is somewhere I would stay again or recommend to someone else.

fantastic staff”
The staff at Windermere is what makes it heads above other hotels. From the owners who are lovely to the breakfast staff who are so accommodating to the evening chef with a passion for culinary that shows in his words and service. I felt like I was staying with family! It was a little further away, but the extra 5 minute walk meant a quieter night sleep!

Excellent stay in a lovely hotel.”
I had a great stay in Winderemere Hotel. It is located on a quiet street-10 minutes walk from both Victoria Coach and Train stations, very convenient.Attentive staff looks after you and helps every way they can and the hotel is simply lovely and pretty close to all the major attractions.Buses from Victoria station go right to Parliament Square/Big Ben and Trafalgar Square (from there it's a very easy 10 minutes walk to Piccadilly). I had a single room, which was small-but it was perfect for me and had everything I needed (comfy bed/shower/aircon/wifi).Winderemere is a really great choice for a Central London hotel, highly recommended to all.

Will definitely book again!”
We got an excellent room (Busby, like the fluffy guard hat) with all the necessities, clean and roomy. A yummy breakfast, both continental and full english. Excellent service with a reception that was always manned. The location of the hotel is perfect, with a 15-20 min stroll to Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. And Victoria Station just 5-10 min away. We loved it, and will definitely come back next time we visit London!

Lovely hotel and ideal for Victoria stations and Buckingham Palace”
This hotel is ideally situated just 7 or 8 minutes walk to the stations at Victoria. We stayed here because we were taking the Belmond British Pullman and wanted a relaxed start to our journey. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The hotel receptionist was very friendly and gave us directions for the station, carried our bags to the room and booked a table in the Hotel Brasserie for our evening meal. The room was fresh and clean and whilst it would have been nice to have a little space between the twin beds it was not uncomfortable and it was nice to have a separate seating area too. Fresh milk was available in the room for tea and coffee and it was nice that filtered water is bottled on site in reusable bottles. The meal in the Brasserie was very good. It's a simple menu but there is something for everyone and the food is cooked fresh to order. The chef also waits on your table and is very friendly as well as being a talented chef. I would gladly recommend the hotel.

Perfect for what we were looking for”
The staff were very polite. They sold us tickets for the hop on hop off bus which is just a ten minute walk to the first stop. The hotel is central and just a short walk to Victoria station. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was quite good. I would stay hear again if we were to ever visit London again.
