Staying for the whale sharks ”
I visited Donsol to see the whale sharks and the mantas, and woodland resort was the perfect location to do that. The resort is a short distance from the tourism centre where the whale shark tours start, and equally close to the dive shops. The pool was clean and the ocean view was nice, the room was clean and the fan worked. Bring your own lock for the cubby provided in the room if you want a safe place to store your things. Would stay again.

Great location, amazing ocean views! ”
Great spot 5 min walk to the dove shops and whale shark center! The bar had great happy hour specials, the restaurant had great reasonably priced food. The backpacker room had really big bed and nice desk area to set all your stuff really spacious by hostel standards! Extended my stay multiple times! Also had a small mix up with my booking and the staff were so helpful it clearing it up for me and making it all work out! Definitely great place to meet backpackers as well!

My experiece in Woodland has been really precious andi will have this memory for long. I visited Donsol as soon as I arrived in Philippines and i was supposed to say there just 3 days to see the Whale sharks. But the lockdown for corona virus was starting in all Philippines. I immediately contacted the reception of Woodland and they gave me the maximun assistance to be longer.I stayed here 15 days and i felt like home. Paolo the manager and all the staff supported us in all! Thanks

Woodland is ideally located, with attentive and wonderful polite staff. I stayed at the backpackers rm meant to be shared with 2 others. it was too busy so I had the room to myself and it was adequate for my needs. Bring your own towel, it's a shared bathroom. no a/c but the fans and breeze coming in were enough. Very pleased with my stay at woodland.

Loved the place, great beach, nice pool and relaxed vibe. Do ask for a room near the beach, away from the street as dogs and roosters will otherwise wake you up.

a five-minute walk from the whale shark tourism office. it's a quiet resort with good facilities. the room was large but with no tv. the restaurant/bar serves good food with a decent price.

We traveled in 10 people. The Woodland Beach Resort met all our expectations. The service was nice and professional. The cottages are surrounded by a beautiful garden. The food in the restaurant was delish. We are all happy to stay in this hotel. I recommend this hotel. Podrózowalismy w 10 osób. The Woodland Beach Resort spełnił wszystkie nasze oczekiwania. Obsługa była niła i profesjionalny. Domki są otoczone pięknym ogrodem. Jedzenie w restauracji było wyborne. Wszyscy jesteśmy zadowolne z pobytu w tym hotelu. Polecam ten hotel.

Nice quiet resert set in lovely grounds”
Enjoyed our stay (1 night) lovely grounds, nice bar area with two “Happy Hours” a day and a restaurant selling good value food. No TV or Fridge in rooms, which depending on family circumstances can prove annoying! No WiFi in rooms and very poor to none existant WiFi where it is provided in Public areas!

Good Mini Break accomodation”
First of all, the staff at the reception were efficient and friendly. The rooms we booked weren't ready so she swapped it with a different one when she saw we have a grumoy toddler with us. The ground staff are helpful. The restaurant ladies are ever so nice and hardworking. I do not know how they managed to serve our group of 16 and another group of more than ten each meal time. No one complained of the food or the facilities. I love that there is a water dispenser though we brought a big distilled water container with us. The beach isn't great but the pool made up for it. My nephews and nieces have enjoyed it so much. They said it was a bit pricey at the restaurant. But overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would come back if ever we are back in Donsol.

very nice hotel close to whale shark visitor center, 12 min walk. nice pool., rest serves and nice selection of sea food and reasonable rates, hotel could use a bit more maintenance as the gates to the beach were all badly rusted. excellent pool, wifi is only available in resto when it is open 6am to 10pm. usually very slow.

Budget Friendly”
The site is very close to the tourism center, staff were always friendly. For the price the room is spacious for 3 backpackers. Just hoping they have stand fan instead of wall fan... Or wall fan woth really good power. But overall if you want save some bucks, this is the way to go.

Friendly staff but facilities need more work”
The room I was given smelled like paint and the floor was dusty. The clear glass on top of the walls bothered me, along with the screened exhaust in the bathroom. Bathroom was clean but bad smell was coming out of somewhere and the water pail was dirty. There were ants crawling in my room and on my bed while I was sleeping! Did not feel comfortable and slept with lights on all night. Room was spacious but no wifi access or TV. Booked and paid for two nights but left after the first night; did not even care about getting a refund for the night I did not stay there. Felt that the room price was expensive for what it has. Staff and food were nice though; Happy Hour drinks and cocktails were awesome. Massage at the spa was good. Not sure if I want to stay here again.

Good budget option”
This is a lovely resort, with a small swimming pool, deck chairs, a restaurant, garden. The wifi is suppised to work only at the restaurant but did not work during my stay. Also thry only accept cash. I stayed in a 3-bed dorm with fan and ensuite which is good value for the price but the room was not cleaned in 3 days, plus there are some mosquitos. The staff is courteous, but not very helpful in my opinion.
