Stayed for 11 days and I had to pay extra for a better room because the original room has no windows. Hotel staff especially the front desk has only one lady who is fluent in English but they are helpful. Breakfast is OK but tends to be repeated everyday. Location is good as it is nearby some restaurants and shops but is a little far from railway station. Free laundry area.

Meet expectation ”
Book a Standard room with window. Was upgraded to city view room with wide window & room was spacious. Love it. Breakfast very simple nothing to comment. Location : Walkable from TRA station (about 25mins) but not advisable to walk with lugggage. Many nice eatries /supermarket walking distance from hotel. Overall: Comfortable stay, will still come back if i visit Hsinchu again.

Twin Bed No Widow & No Breakfast. Stayed 2nights w/ a friend. Affordable but High Quality”
Bed and linens were clean, comfortable and soft. (Though my bed was a little bit wiggly if you move too often/fast). The bathroom and shower were complete with basic toiletries. I love that they opted for shampoo and shower gel dispenser instead of the tubes (more eco-friendly). I hope they can find a more eco-friendly options for the other toiletries. They did housekeeping the next day after we check-in. They replaced the water bottle and the used towels. The whole room was very spacious as well as the bathroom and shower. The location is more or less 20mins from Hsinchu Station (TRA) and not the Hsinchu Train Station (THSR). (My bad that I got confused between the 2). If you like walking, then the distance would be bearable for you, plus you get to check out stores and restaurants nearby. Invest on English classes for the front desk staff please. Overall: GOOD

Highly recommended Xinshe Hotel ! They are friendly and helpful in locating our missing bag . The staff urgently helped us to call high speed rail to check the missing bag. The location is near to city and attractions. The room is clean,good sound insulation, multiple choices of buffet breakfast. A small special decorating our room with love flower ! No doubts Xinshe is the best solution for all your need!

Newer hotel in Hsinchu”
Everything about this newer hotel was great except - 1. No mirror in bedroom area. Only one mirror in bathroom. 2. No privacy screen in shower area. So Twin room not suitable for friends or colleagues. 3. Not enough hangers (only 2 provided) and not enough hanging places for clothes. No cupboard, too (in Twin room). 4. Breakfasts a little too simple with cold porridge provided. If large group of Mainland tourists arrive, the whole dinning area can be quite chaotic. 5. Beds a tad hard. 6. Aircon cannot be adjusted individually. For the price we have paid, great choice for Hsinchu. Would give it 4 stars out of 5.

Best value for the price and location”
Hotel is really clean, room and bed is huge. For the price you pay, it's already a good deal. Hotel is at the heart of the City so a lot of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast is also decent. Will stay again here in the future.

The place was ok.”
The lobby smelled extremely humid and the bathroom leakage wasn't good enough. Every time I took a shower, there was water puddle in the bathroom. Last time when I stayed there, the room was very clean, but not this time:( Anyway, if you are looking for somewhere low-priced, here is a good place to stay. Not far from Hsinchu Cheng-Huang Temple, but you still need transportation (etc. scooter) to get there.

Nice and clean room, but cigarette smell everywhere”
Nice looking hotel lobby, clean room with interesting art décor hanging above your bed's headboard, but the entire place smells of cigarette, which is a major turnoff. There are "No Smoking" signs everywhere, but it seems like no one gives a hoot about it, as someone seems to be smoking in one of the room and it gets passed around since the hotel is using a central air-con. I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel in the future, but if they can't enforce the "No Smoking" rule, I will be staying AWAY from this place.

Excellent hotel with good service”
The rooms are clean and had enough space to move area unlike some budge hotels. Easy to get around too with amenities all around. Hotel is about 20 minutes walk away from railway station. Staff very helpful when we asked for recommendations and directions. Breakfast is not bad. Was expecting just cereal for breakfast but they had other local food provided too. A pleasant stay and will definitely come back.

We had a good stay at this hotel. Location was convenient with the main area if attraction being just a walking distance away. Food options are everywhere below the hotel and 7 eleven is just right beside our accommodation. The service crew deserves thumbs up for their impeccable service as well. overall a wonderful stay over here.

Comfortable”
Nice and helpful staff. A non-smoking hotel, but the room assigned for us had strong smoke smell. Upon reporting this issue to the front desk, the staff apologized and took immediate actions to take care of the problem and gave us another room. Bathroom is spacious, but can be improved by adding hooks/racks on the wall for hanging towels. The only thing very inconvenient is there's only one electricity outlet in the room.

Friendly Staffs, Huge room space”
Enjoying 2 nights stay. Huge room space. Reception staffs were very helpful, polite and friendly. Free bicycle, breakfast provided...Convi as Supermart / Familmart just few steps away....Easy access of local street foods...Definitely will be back again for holiday stay.
