"We loved our stay at Alivila and hope to one day return...however, it wasn't easy getting there. We missed our airport limousine bus (next 3hrs later) and ended up taking a local bus to the Yomitan Bus Terminal. Once there, you have to call for a taxi or wait for the next airport limousine. In any case, it's not a big deal breaker - just have to not miss your limousine bus, or better yet, get a rental car! Also, for those looking to snorkel, we were happy we tried the hotel's one hour snorkeling. Their wetsuits were better than the large Naha diving company we went with earlier, and it was so simple. We had a guide who let us snorkel and have "free time" to swim. The only thing was - I had to wear a big life jacket that kept making my goggles come off (and they did fog a bit). The water is not as clear as our snorkeling trip to the Kerama Islands, but for beginners like us, we still saw a bunch of new fish and even a sea snake! We loved our upgraded room and view. But food is $$$. "

"It may be the best option for a stay at Okinawa if you would like to interact with the local and the nature. Staying at the city hotel gives you convenience, but you will never get a taste of local. Staying in the resort in Onna-son is good and luxury, but you will not feel like home. I love Coral Garden, it is a puzzle piece in the local community in Yomitan, and you own your privacy in the whole block with several storeys. With the big glass windows all over, I can watch TV with the scene of the sea in emerald green, take a bath with such scene and wake up with such scene as my first sight. What you would want more? Also, the pool underground is supreme, though my dad told me the smell of chlorine is very strong. I can swim and have my relaxing hour when night falls. Last but not least, thanks so much for the warmth of the host given to me. I really feel like home when I step in the house with the light music on. :) I will be here again, soon!"

"The room is spacious and clean. No bottled water was provided but there's a kettle in the room. It takes 40mins by walk to the Yomitan bus terminal. So not too convenient for people who didn't have a car. There's a convenience store and few restaurants inside the hotel which offer great food and not too pricey. The hotel breakfast is really nice with great variety of choices! The hotel staff has provided excellent service! I would definitely come back if I travel to Okinawa again!"

"Outside of restaurant needs repair and updating, but inside is nice and clean. The complimentary breakfasts were a big bonus and quite good. We even had dinner one night. Food good and staff very friendly. Our rooms were large and furnished nicely. Very clean. A great fit for our family of 5 with grown kids. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Great ocean view. Hotel staff was very helpful and always pleased to help. I would highly recommend this establishment."
