It was wonderful.”
It was my first time to go to kyushu and Yufuin. At the first time, actually we didn't know what kind of hotel would be good for me and my friend to have a package travel there. But we all think we made a good decision to choose Yufuin kirinko hotel. The staff there was really friendly and the room was really wide than we could imagine. The best thing I have to say is that the breakfast served. It was served in an elegant art coffee shop just beside the Kinrinko, 5min away from the hotel by feet. So we really had a wonderful morning there, seeing the beautiful scenery beside the lake. If I could go to Yufuin again, I would definitely choose Yufuin Kirinco hotel.

Elegant and relaxing”
I though it's an old hotel so we didn't expect anything. When we opened the door of room, we are impressed. The room is beautiful, bright and spacious that made us relax. They prepared hot water and tea set in room, so that I can stay in room a whole afternoon. The view is quite good, can't see the lake but can see mountain surrounded. The parking's just located in front of hotel and it's free. Takes only 3-5 mins walk to lake. But it's far away to walk to Yufuin station. Public bathroom is simple, with outdoor and indoor onsen. It's quiet and I had a nicely sleep there.

Location is gd. Room very big with 4 futon. Have separate washing basin (2) and toilet. Shower is not attached. During our stay there is no hot water so owner directed us to another ryokan onsen 7min walk away. Free parking. Love the breakfast which was a cafe besides the Kinrinko lake. We didnt realised that cafe open at 9am. But it was gd we were there early as there waa already a crowd at 9.15am. It was snowing when we were there and cafe was cosy and breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed the cafe very much.

Traditional Japanese Room With Onsen and Mountain View”
We totally missed the hotel while driving. Had to search around a wee bit as this place did not look like a hotel at all! It was more like an art gallery. Room was large and bright with sufficient natural light from the large glass doors with a great view of the mountain to greet you every time. The onsen is pretty small but decent as they do not have many guests around. On all occasions, I found myself to be the only patron in the late evening. Breakfast was not served in the hotel premises but at a small cafe cottage by the lake. The lake is a slow 10 mins walk away. It was energizing to have breakfast by the lake. The cafe draws tourist crowds who are casually strolling by the lake. The downside is that the shops nearby close at 5pm and the nearest dinner place is about a 5 mins drive. There's always Lawson the convenience store that is opposite the hotel if you don't feel like driving.

Staffs at counter are very friendly. It is a Japanese room with clean and big space. Public hot spring is great with outdoor choice. The hotel provides the most delicious breakfast at the most amazing location by the lake.

Room is big and clean. Although a public hot spring is not what I expected, it's comfortable and you're able to go outdoor enjoying the hot spring with some fresh air. Pity that the sauna machine in the female public hot spring seems not working. Also, the wind of the hair dryer is weak. However, the breakfast is really good with a cozy setting and a wonderful view!

No hot water in the morning and could not contact staff ”
The hotel was pretty and clean but there was no hot water in the morning so we couldn’t take a shower at all and when I tried to find staff they were not at the desk until check out time. Onsen was way too hot for human to soak in and I’ve been to so many onsen in the past so I think I’m qualified to say this. The staff, when they were around, were nice and friendly. Location was quite far from station and city centre but it’s ok if you have a car.

The breakfast restaurant is ten minutes' walk away. It takes a lot of time to prepare breakfast. Breakfast is an hour. 9~10AM The checkout time is 10 o'clock. You'll be charged for delayed check-out. It's a hotel that needs to be prepared for a great shock. This is where the traveler has to check out at eight.

ホテルは綺麗ですが、部屋のコップにほこりが付いてたり、髪の毛が落ちてたので、清掃が気になりました。 エレベーターがないので、荷物が多いご年配の方はしんどいかな…と思います。 大浴場は露天風呂付きですが、小さめです。 朝食は提携してるカフェラルシェで頂けるのですが、特に予約してもらえる訳ではなく、朝食券をもらって、一般の方と同じように並ばないといけないそうなので、朝食は付けませんでした。ホテル宿泊特典で、予約してもらえたら良いのに… ロケーションですが、湯布院駅から遠い！湯の坪街道を歩きながら行けますが、20分以上掛かります。でも、タクシーなら1メーター程で行けるので、荷物が多い時、雨の時はタクシーを使った方が便利です。
