Excellent Japanese Service”
When you choose to travel to Japan, one thing you would expect to experience must be the high level qualitative service. In this hostel that is definitely something you can experience. When we walked in the doorway, the staff opened the door with smile and greeted us in Japanese. Though we don't speak Japanese, we could sense that he was trying to explain everything in Japanese and his limited English wordings. He was so pleased to see we finished every dish and even not a single drop of soup was left out from the dinner.

Authentic and amazing! Meals at the onsite restaurant was one of the best we had ever, worth every penny. A little far from the nearest train station but perfect for self-Drivers as they have a private (complimentary) carpark for about 10 cars. We had a young child of about 1 year + and they had every effort to accommodate us. Thank you again and would definitely stay again if we ever get the chance

Overall, I am so satisfied for the food, room, service, environment there. However, I remember I was ordering a room with 3 Japanese beds, which clearly said in my reservation record. However, the staff insisted that they only provided me two beds. If I need extra bed, I have to pay. So, I could only pay around HKD150 for an extra bed which suppose I should entitle. I was quite disappointed about this and not sure if can get my money back.

Everything was almost perfect! The staff were all friendly and super helpful. We felt their constant warmth in midst of the winter and icy rain. They provided train transfer (to and fro yufuin station) for us which made our travelling so convenient. Plus it was raining so the transfer made things so smoothly for us. Room is clean and neat. What impressed us very much is they really changed our breakfast and dinner menus to vegetarian and each and every meal is enjoyable and yummy. Totally no complaints and we enjoyed this place very much. Would really love to go back here if we were to visit yufuin again. ❤️

Staff and food are really nice. We booked a massage for the night and worth the money too. One thing is that it’s 13mins away from the station with no public transport so it was a journey to the hotel with luggages. But once you arrived the hotel and tried the hot spring, you would know it’s totally worth it :)

Very nice place. Peace and just 5 min walking distant away from shopping street and some famous scenary spot. The Services is extremely good and they have car to take customer to JR station..it also got private outdoor family spa, although the area not so big, but just fit for a family with kids to have hot spring together..Recommand to stay next time

Beautiful ryokan. Close to yufuin main spots. The restaurant was very beautiful and the meals were very good. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. Only one but, the bathroom temperature was a bit cold and so was its water. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Fantastic onsen hotel !!!”
The location is slightly distant from the Yufuin main street, yet without causing any inconvenience. The whole hotel is so elegant and quiet that you fell in love at the first sight. I am very satisfied with the room setting and its private, delicate onsen house. Both the dinner and the breakfast are Kaiseki, which represent the art of Japanese plating and seasonal favor. The workers are kind and hospitable. Overall I am quite enjoying. Highly recommended!

It is located in the quiet and peaceful place and convenient to visit all attractions around it. Also, the food was really good. I went there with my mom who is really picky. She also lover their food. Most of all, the man (maybe the owner) at the desk was awesome. I can tell he enjoys welcoming guest and he was always around us to help us. I absolutely visit Hananomai again.
