Very good location, few minutes walk from station. Many gear rental shops and restaurants nearby. Spacious rooms with wonderful hot spring facilities (both public and private onsen are excellent). Breakfast and dinner were not impressive though, recommend to eat outside instead (dinner with reservation is a must). Definitely will visit again

First time staying in an onsen hotel and this one has blown my mind. We booked a triple room with breakfast/dinner included. The hotel is a mix of traditional japanese and modern style. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and satisfying. The onsen part was speechless and you may wanna try the private onsen if you want to have some personal spaces. Free ice cream and ramen are available at night, make sure you make time to give it a try! The hotel has all the amenities you will need and you can just simply walk in and enjoy your holiday!

We love the hotel so much! my children said this is the best onsen hotel they have even stayed before! The hotel is very new and clean, staffs are friendly. They have free coffee/tea at the lobby which served 24 hours so do the private onsen rooms . The location is very convenience, a short walk from the JR station. The shuttle bus station is just outside the hotel if you are going to Ski resorts.

Highly recommended this hotel as the location is just 5mins walk to JR station! There is a ski items rental shop right in front of the hotel, so highly recommended this hotel for people who come echigo-yuzawa ski! Also they have free ramen at late night and free drinks in the morning! Will definitely book this hotel again next time!

Love this Japanese style hotel ”
I enjoyed staying in this Japanese style hotel very much. It's my first time staying in this type of hotel and it's definitely a worthy experience. My booking includes breakfast and dinner. Food is great although it might take 1-1.5 hours to finish. If you are rushing to the slopes, you may opt out of this option. The room is very customer friendly with adaptors and bins everywhere. I only wish there's more space to store my clothes/belongings. Maybe some hooks on the walls will help. I also love the ensuite hot spring and the public hot spring that's open 24 hours. The hotel is near the JR station so it's very convenient. I will definitely wanna stay here again!

This ryokan is located within a 6 mins walk from Echo-Yuzawa station. Everything provided was perfect including the cleanliness (no shoes allowed inside the ryokan), dinner & breakfast (yummy & filling), hot spring bath (clean & well maintained), etc. Highly recommended!

Good location, nice dinner and breakfast, good service, excellent private & public onsens and free ramen! If you have own ski or snowboard gears, though they do not have ski room, they can still help to store your gears dry in a temperature controlled room. It’s really an enjoyable stay if you do skiing & snowboarding in the day and have Onsen after return to hotel.

Room - small but well appointed it since the ryokan common space was so big Service - staff has little English but we're very helpful especially with our little toddler Food was consistently tasty and very traditional Onsen - 4-5 baths in the gender one and outdoor private baths

A traditional Japanese hotel with great modern facilities and perfect location for skiing activities. Service/ staff were very helpful and kind. We were skeptical about the no shoes policy in the hotel, but the hotel was extremely clean all the time. However the food choices were at a minimal. Japanese food was really good but every meal was almost the same, which got a little boring for every meal. And occasionally, the hot waster ran short… there were some times during the day where the hot water didn’t work, only warm water for the bath and shower. Otherwise, 9/10 recommend!!

Staff are not so cheerful and not flexible. The front desk staff doing our check-in speaks very little English and we had a problem understanding him. Room walls are super thin and when people walk through the corridor we could listen to every word they say. Too crowded with hotel guests, so free ramen and free ice bar but no tables and seats.

awful smell from shower room”
didnt expect this kind of standard for paying such a great amount of money. The smell was so awful that we didnt use the shower room during the stay. Also, the service was not good during our dinner time, the waitresses were chatting happily outside and no one served us during most of the time for the dinner. I had to tidy up the table by myself as there were many plates and cutleries. Definitely not worthy for such an expensive price.
