Lots of “if onlys””
I genuinely want to give businesses good reviews in light of the terrible two years we’ve had as a nation, as I fully understand they are trying so hard to recover. Especially with the lack of enthusiasm people seem to have for employment nowadays. But… in order to be excellent, I think it’s important that businesses take criticism seriously. All in all, our stay at this Best Western was fine. If only the actual property felt like the picture on Agoda, which looked like a virtual resort NOT on a busy highway. It was very small with inadequate parking, which included a $10 parking fee every day. If only the shower had decent water pressure. It was a literal trickle, and took nearly two minutes to warm up. If only housekeeping had replenished our coffee every day, and if only they had cleaned at a consistent time. We had to wait twice in the late afternoon for them to vacate our room. Once while we were wet and sandy from the beach, and once when one of us desperately needed the restroom. Small things, but disappointing, aggravating, and inconvenient. Other than those issues, it was adequate and the location actually turned out to be better than being downtown. And if cleanliness is important to you, I can assure you that this hotel takes pains to be sanitary. Makes up for a lot.

The rooms were clean and the beds were AMAZBALLS!! The pool was clean and the hot tub was HOT!! But it was perfect after all the walking around the historical area of St.Augustine....lots to see and sooo much to do! Plan for a couple of days and pay for the parking. Great place to stay!!!!

Good Value/ Two Story Motor Lodge-No Elevator”
My friend and I stayed at this Best Western for 5 nights and found it comfortable as well as affordable. Comfortable beds and pillows. Enough towels and clean. Bathroom could have a door between commode and walk in shower area. A door separating the area would provide privacy for each person and allow two people to get ready simultaneously. Also, the closet is in the bathroom, which was different. The breakfast was fine with a wonderful yogurt machine with several delicious toppings available. I enjoyed the prepared, hot oatmeal on the weekdays. Eggs, potatoes and sausage/bacon each day with several breads to select from. Good coffee and tea available. Close enough to downtown to walk within 20 minutes. Not too far from the first trolley stop on the Red Line Tours. Venetia at the desk was very helpful and kind. All my requests were provided in a nice fashion. Asked for another luggage rack and extra blankets . I would stay again at this hotel .

The second we opened the door, we could smell something moldy, they may have just turned on the SC before we got there, as it cooled down the smell went away The place is clean, stylish, very nice
