Nice place to stay. ”

Just outside the historic area, free shuttle service to downtown. Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Free breakfast could use some help. Definitely would stay there again.

Not worth the money”

The room was clean the breakfast was good but that's where it stops. The mattress was cheap and hard to sleep on as far as the shuttle we called twice to use it and was told it was too much traffic and they couldn't pick us up. This was the first time in Saint Augustine for us and wanted some information the best way to get around whether to do a trolley or drive they could not answer the question.we also wanted some referrals to some restaurants we where especifically looking for seafood ,someplace on the water to eat they could not provide me with this either we where told by the front desk that they were new and they did not know. Was also asked if I was any discount tickets or packages for the attractions we were told no everything was full price this also wasn't true. for the price of this hotel you're better off paying a little bit more money and staying downtown or pay a lot less money and stay 5 miles away since you have to use your car anyhow and pay for parking. I've never stayed in a motel or hotel that could not give you guidance or information for the area that they are located in. The website makes you believe they have a restaurant there is no also the shuttle that they make you believe they have is worthless and it's not free you have to pay for it as far as the location It's not convenient and less you'd like to take 45 minute walks to get where you wanna be

Pleasant ”

Stayed for Halloween weekend. Super convenient if you're traveling with your fur baby. Perfect hot water in the shower after walking around in the historic distric for several hours. Bed and pillows were nice and comfy. Pet bed was very large and spacious. Shuttle to downtown really came in handy. Nice place for a weekend stay.

Poorly trained staff”

The hotel seem nice enough when we arrived. But the 1st employer dealt with tried to double charge me for my Room because I had already paid for it online and then when I questioned them about the what was the $100 incidentals 4. Was there something like Room service that we could Order? The manager came out and asked if there was a Problem to which the desk clerk replied that there wasn't. So he asked me what was wrong and ask him why was he speaking to a paying customer like that because I didn't have any problems I was just asking questions. He took it upon himself to cancel my reservation and tell me that he no longer one in my business

"Go To" Lodging When Visiting St. Augustine”

The Southern Oaks Inn has become our go to lodging choice in St. Augustine for a number of reasons: 1. The rooms are always clean and comfortable 2. The staff is universally friendly and helpful 3. The breakfast is varied and excellent 4. The historic center of St. Augustine is a short Uber/Lyft ride away (parking is a real challenge 5. "The Devil's Triangle," an outstanding food truck, restaurant, and chocolate/dessert shop, is a couple of hundred yards north of the property.

This is my second stay at Southern Oaks Inn and it won't be my last. Everyone on the staff is super friendly. They serve a fabulous breakfast every morning. And the location is great. You aren't in the historic area but you are àbout two minutes away via a back road. I can't say enough about this hotel and I can't wait to go back!

Housekeepers and lawn staff 3 nights set right by room partying drinking SINGING! Told staff did do a thing showed pictures told them where they hid bottle didn't care and then see them smoke in non smoking rooms! Have pictures!!! The grounds are beautiful! The rooms are worn had to go to ER with back and head ache springs coming thru mattress. Shower clean, Floor clean husband laid on sofa and got ate up with fleas! We didn't have pet room ,,,,I got bit on face 3 times by little black bugs, The staff just nicely blows you off,,,,

Excellent Service and Value”

We had a nice clean quite room. The service at the front desk and their help in explaning the Hop-on-off Trolly service was great. They arranged to have us picked up at the hotel and taken to the base location, and got us a second day free for the trolly. On our last day they even told us we could leave our car at the hotel after check out, in order to use the trolly. The breakfast were very much above average with real eggs, and other choices. Will stay there again.

We loved the complimentary shuttle service to the first trolley stop and the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet is not your typical "continental" breakfast; it's nearly restaurant-style food! However, the lady that served the hot food to you was very rude and rolled her eyes at the customers. The fresh fruit was always run out. Also, the ice machine was always broke and there was never ice available for the juice and soda... But magically available for the milk to stay cold. (We stayed for 5 days and this was an issue ALL 5 DAYS!!) The ice machine nearest our room was also not working. They did not keep the water machine in the lobby filled. It was always empty as well. One day it was a heat index of 108 so water and ice should have been available for the guests. The rooms are very clean. I liked that the rooms are hardwood veneer floors and not carpeted. Beds very comfortable.

We loved staying here. Everyone was so nice, the room was great. The mini fridge was bigger than I imagined. Everything was clean, I really liked the fact that we had hardwood floors. Fresh towels everyday. It was perfectly located fairly close to downtown. I would definitely stay again
