I heard it’s one of the best pools in South Beach! The grounds, the room and the staff were all amazing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location was perfect for us. Not in the middle of the South Beach scene, 7 min bike ride to the beach (and the Mondrian has bikes) and walking distance to awesome restaurants.

I had read about the multi-million dollar reno and had seen some of the photos of the updated interiors. Sadly, the reality did not match the marketing. The fancy mosaic tiles in the bath and shower areas are already showing signs of wear and a lack of maintenance. The cabinets in the kitchen are cheap junk that is also starting to fall apart. The rest of the suite is furnished in what is intended to be a sparse, clean modern look but it just comes off as empty and uninviting. Seems all the money was spent on the common areas; the lobby, pool, hallways and restaurant are beautiful and show what could have been done with the rooms. Service is very good, friendly and prompt. $44 a night for parking is a bit harsh, but it is SoBe. Overall, I wish they had just gone the extra little bit to get the look and feel of the common areas to extend into the rooms. At this price point, it is not unreasonable to expect.
The prices for onsite food and beverage are ridiculous, much like most hotel/resort properties in the South Beach market. Studio room was spacious, but bathroom was a bit cramped and in need of refresh. The bayside views of the water and downtown Miami are excellent. The pool area is nice, but certainly can get crowded on weekends and holidays.
The room we stayed was a little bit outdated, the TVs were 10+ year old. The whole building looked a little bit outdated. But the pool was really nice, but we had to spend $350 minimum just to use beds. The view on the Miami city is nice tho.
The amenities aren’t worth being charged the incidental fee per night. They charge a resort fee but it covers nothing but wifi and towels at the pool; but that’s if they remember to give you your pool band at check in. The shower was falling apart and the couch had stains. Valet was less than friendly and it’s a traffic jam at valet at all times. I most likely will never stay here again. Location was the only plus.

I’ve been to this hotel like 20 times easy. But the last 3-4 times i could notice a major change in customer service. At few occasion the room wasn’t cleaned or cleared partially. This time i had no bathroom vanities, toothpaste or anything. The room was very old and not renovated at all as others i’ve been to. It was so cheap that it really made it a turn off. Old tv’s, old cheap sink, no proper closet for clothes a true mess. Made a complaint to management who didn’t offer to replace the room, a credit note or so. To top it all, i called for a late checkout, and they were pretty cold and inflexible and no one from management did even called back while cleaning personnel kept knocking ! My last time over there that’s for sure.
i would have preferred to stay at eden roc for same price or fountainblu with beach and better pools and nicer staff.
I have many things I could say about the service, but bottom line is I would not return to the hotel. It’s disorganized and frustrating.
Common areas were nice as was the staff. The rooms are really past their prime, shabby, and not clean. Found a roach in room.
3pm check in was not ready as they were too busy ... 445pm was best they could do Restaurant was not available from 3-530pm Late checkout was also unavailable as they were also too busy
Place a bit rundown and in need of a Reno. Wi-Fi down. Elevators constantly broken. Not super clean room when arrived. Front desk staff were fine, but the rest pretty poor: poolside staff abysmal, concierge not knowledgeable nor called me back when he said he would, spa staff appalling.
My daughter and her family stayed in a suite at the hotel, the week before I arrived. I purposely stayed there on a lay-over. I had canceled an airport hotel reservation and made a reservation at Mondrian a week before my arrival through your website. When I got to the hotel at 8 PM the only rooms they had left were rooms that had stained carpeting, a stained sofa, cracked tile flooring in the bathroom and their air-conditioning did not work. The temperature in the room was 79 degrees. I was in tears when I called the front desk. I requested another room and they told me that they were completely booked up and could not give me another room. This was their standard room. In my estimation, this room has not been updated since it was built. Smoked glass mirrors, poor lighting, ugly floors and old discolored drapes that were coming off the rod. It was depressing! Never staying there again!
