Run down...not clean”

I would not recommend this hotel. it is very run down and not clean. There was a face make up mark on the “clean” towel.... there was peeling paint marks on the ceiling... our air-conditioning did not work and they said they checked it but it still did not work... and just in general it was not clean.

Quick Trip”

We just wanted a quick trip to the Gatlinburg area. We went up one day , spent the night and came home. Quality Inn served our needs for that one night. This would also be a place we would stay for longer. The room was very roomy and had the possibility to be adjoining for a larger family. Too cool to swim. The hot tub would have been fun!

Problematic”

The staff, location, pool, and general cleanliness were good. We had reasonable expectations but... Room was musty and moisture markings around the whole ceiling edges. When turning on the AC a really strong musty/mildew/moldy smell overpowered the room requiring we open balcony and front door for quite a while. We did some troubleshooting and there was simply no way to run AC without this overpowering mold smell from the air filling the room with the unit on. None of us slept for much of the night because were hot AND the room was very humid with no remedy due to the AC unit issue. When we mentioned it in the morning we were were lamely told we could "burn off the smell" by running heat for a while. Beds were suitable $70 a night hotel not $115 (very creaky and old). The breakfast was not satisfactory. No butter for the waffles, the biscuits and gravy were a powder mix gravy absent any meat, and the doughnuts were clearly at least from the morning before (stiff).

Nice large room, no carpet. Only negative was slow drain sink on bath.

Nice Place to Stay”

We stayed here one night after hiking in Smoky Mountain National Park. The rooms were clean and there were plenty of towels. Breakfast offered both hot and cold items. The price was right and it suited our needs perfectly.
