Staff was beyond friendly. Good place to stay for low price. We actually stayed 1 night before our cruise. After the cruise we were suppose to stay at a different hotel. The other hotel was a dump so I demanded a refund and booked our 2nd night at Red. I would stay there with my family, on a business trip, solo, with spouse and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good value. Not a 5 star, but walking distance to just about anything at a cheap affordable price.

Mid-Beach Boutique Hotel”
Red South Beach Hotel was a last minute selection to enable an extended stay in Miami Beach. The hotel room was excellent with a separate sitting area, separate bathroom, and private bedroom. It was also quiet and clean - and the bed was excellent - A++. The price for a Saturday evening stay was excellent and a primary driver in selection. We were disappointed with the pool, as it fronts the main street and is rather noisy. The dining room is adequate, but more cafeteria style than pleasant dining. It is located in the middle of the lobby with limited partitions and with people checking in/out, going to/from the pool - it felt chaotic all the time. The majority of the employees were very kind and helpful, but a few don't seem to have any awareness - like vacuuming the lobby while people are trying to eat breakfast. A manual Bissel would have solved this - rather than use of an old, very loud vac. We would return - as long as the price remained below the other competitors.

Last minute find”
Wanted to extend our stay at our original hotel but were unable to be accommodated. Searched and came across the Red. The reviews weren't spectacular but we were in a bind and decided to give it a try. Very pleasantly surprised. Comfortable bed, clean room, good water pressure, friendly staff.

Everything was good Except the morning breakfast”
The staff were awesome. The location is pretty good. The rooms are small, but still ok. But the breakfast was terrible and person managing the breakfast doesn't know how to manage the crowds or refilling empty foods. All they care was the breakfast money. So if staying in this hotel, just don't buy the breakfast.

Prices can be high in Miami Beach and Red was the best value for when we booked. Terrific location a block from the beach. Enjoy your morning cappuccino on the poolside terrace. Downsides -- the bed had a crater in it and was very uncomfortable; the TV has shopping channels on it, but nothing you would want to see; you must be proactive if you want anything cleaned or additional toilet paper.

Overall the hotel was clean . Biggest complaint is the listing on travel websites states the hotel has parking available. It does NOT if you are lucky enough to find parking you have to pay 3.00 an hour and be able to download the parking app to pay with cc. They charge a transaction fee of 35 cents every time you add more time to meter. Also restraint has limited hours. Overall I would stay again just not bring a car.

Stayed four nights in Feb. great location for the beach/bad if you want to buy a bottle of water somewhere. Nice pool area. Weak AC in our room, wouldn’t get below 78° - the front desk found me a better one. Super slow service from the bar/restaurant. Dark hallways, old building needs renovation yesterday. For the price, to be that close to the water, with a nice pool area - I’d stay again. But only if I got the same sale price. Check your room’s temp before you unpack!

Not the worst place I’ve stayed at”
If you are looking only for a place to rest your head then this is it. I would not stay again d/t lack of towels/cleanliness. Just wasn’t comfortable. Staff was nice except whoever gave me a 0530 wake up call on my birthday asking if I was playing music.

Random charge on our card for no reason - disappointing ”
Hotel was ok. Not as nice as pics. Card didnt work for our room- went up and down elevator four times with four different cards and no joy - not fun after long journey. They gave us master key and said to come back later when their card software is fixed. Came back, tried again to get room key- up and down elevator three times to try key. Didnt work. Gave us master key again. A lot of work just for a one night stay when our basic need is just that we want to be able to open our room!! Beds were comfy though, location ok, quiet area of strip. Noticed a random charge on our card after our stay for £5.63 or something. We have no idea what this was to this day. Never used a single service at the hotel, simply slept in beds for one night and left. Emailed them about it and never ever got a reply from the hotel explaining themselves. This alone makes me never want to go back. I dont trust them with my card details, they seem to charge whatever they want without my authorisation. If it was a larger amount I would chase it but it isnt worth my energy now that im back in the UK.

Front desk woman was horrible. Mean, denied my daughter a paid for breakfast, and most of all, refused to upgrade the room when we paid for another night at a higher rate. This place has the worst customer service known to man. Twice I was on hold for 20 minutes with front desk re: my reservation. The day shift front desk woman needs to be fired. Worst Customer Service ever.
