This was a great place to stay. Staff was beyond helpful. My friend and I are in our 50s and left our husbands to just enjoy a last minute trip. We felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Having the beach only one block away was great and our rooms included our beach chairs and towels. Great location, Friendly staff And the boutique hotel, itself, Was delightful. I was worried about staying here after having read some of the bad reviews, but after having stayed, those reviews are the exception. This hotel is very nice. It is not a luxury hotel, but the rooms are clean the staff is very friendly. The staff was always helpful with getting us what we needed, ice, extra soap, storing luggage, opening the door for us and helping accommodate me when I arrived at 6:30 am after a red-eye flight. The beach is 1.5 blocks away, the restaurants and night life of Miami Beach are all within 20 minute walk, the rooftop pool was nice. The reviews about the complimentary breakfast are accurate. You only get 1: coffee, juice OR tea. And a limited choice of 1 breakfast item-pancakes, Or waffle, or yogurt/honey/fruit/granola bowl, or bowl of cereal, or some other choices. No choice that included eggs. The location was great, staff was friendly. I would stay again.

Noisy at times, can hear everything that happens on other rooms , even sex activity.”
Pros: location, breadfask and the pool, and the cleaneness. Cons: noisy at times, and confuse structure of the hotel , plus the smell of cheap perfume on the hallways., just coffee or orange juice but not both for breakfast.

The pictures are very attractive, the words describing the hotel too. I expected more than what I saw. There is no private beach, it is a public beach and you have to walk, cross an avenue to go to the beach. I thought it was right in the hotel feet.. SBH is not big, with ground floor and 1st floor. No facilities in SBH. SBH is a part of 3 hotels sharing the same facilities. The pool and the gym are in the top floor of another hotel. Reception is in that other hotel. The breakfast is on another road at Orange Blossom restaurant, part or another hotel. What is included in the price of breakfast: just one choice of food (cheese bagel or pancake or cereal or yoghurt or pastries or fruits) and one drink. If you fancy to eat a bagel plus a bowl of fruits, be prepared to pay extra. It is small and can get busy, since they are serving 3 hotels customers plus people who pass by. The gym equipment is ok. Some of them broken or missing part. The toilet in the gym were dirty.

Strong smell of ammonia that was covering up a mildew smell. Stains all over hallway carpets. AC doesn’t go below 70 so it’s always humid feeling in here (which probably caused the mold smell) Definitely needs some updating here. Pictures make it look way nicer because they used the connecting Hotels pictures. Very disappointed and embarrassed I took my friends here for a birthday trip.

This hotel is looks NOTHING like what is advertised. The lush entrance filled with a fountain, palm trees, lights, and a seating area in the entrance — not even there. The fountain has 0 water, there are cut electrical wires everywhere, there are NO palm trees or even greenery for that matter. The South Beach Hotel light isn't even lit up. You wouldn't know where you're going. The only positive is the location. You check into a separate hotel and walk around back — yet if my boyfriend and I were not self sufficient we wouldn't have figured it out. The hotel room had stains on the pillows, towels, and bedspreads. The bathroom smelled awful and there was even a leak coming from the back side that would lead out a hole from inside the shower causing a leak behind the toilet. The staff was so-so. At times we called to get more towels to try and clean up the leak but the front desk wouldn't answer. We were promised that breakfast was included within the price but they don't mention it's a whole separate menu that essentially has very little on the actual menu — bagel, cereal, pancakes, and fruit. Everything else is extra, had we known that we wouldn't have "splurged" for the included breakfast option. Overall very underwhelmed, overpriced for what you ACTUALLY get, and this was low-key terrible experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Hotel: looks very nice inside and outside, first hall should be renovated. The rooms are good and clean. Staff: very welcoming and professional Breakfast: very good but its not a buffett and you can only choose one kind of a breakfast dish. Park fee: when you book a room, you don't see the park fee at first glance, so later you might be annoyed cause the final price is higher which is not cool

Das Personal war unfreundlich und wir bekamen beim auschecken keine Rechnung. Zimmer unsauber. Dusche schimmelig ! Einfach nur schrecklich! Frühstück ungenügend . Man kann zwischen einem Kaffee oder Orangensaft wählen! Beides nicht inkludiert. Frühstückkarte eine Frechheit.

Völlig anders als auf den Bildern: Zusatzkosten beachten!”
Durch Hurrikan Ian mussten wir die Westküste verlassen und zwangsläufig ein Zimmer für zwei Nächte buchen. Nachdem uns die Bilder im Netz angesprochen haben, kam bei der Ankunft die große Ernüchterung: Bauarbeiten. Der Empfang war im Nebenhotel. Das Mobiliar im Zimmer altbacken und ungepflegt und für alles waren Mehrpreise erforderlich. Selbst der Kaffee auf dem Zimmer war nicht gratis. Parken? Fehlanzeige. Hier wurden mal eben 40 USD pro Tag zusätzlich fällig. Von der Resort-Gebühr erfuhren wir ebenfalls erst später. Die kam nochmal auf fast 65 USD. Bleibt das Frühstück: Ärmlich bis unmöglich. Einzige Lichtblicke waren das freundliche (wenn auch unqualifizierte) Personal und die Lage. Ansonsten werden wir in diesem Hotel definitiv nicht mehr buchen. In Summe kann man für den Preis locker in einem deutlich höherwertigen Hotel übernachten. Kosten sind versteckt; gelockt wird mit einem vermeintlichen günstigen Übernachtungspreis. Am Ende jedoch viel zu teuer für das, was dort geboten wird. Wir jedenfalls können dieses Hotel absolut nicht empfehlen.
