Great hotel on South Beach.”
We got a renovated room near the pool. It is spacious and bight. The hotel is only 8 blocks from Ocean Drive. We hope to stay there again. Highly recommend this hotel!

Worth it”
I was a little ifffy about this hotel when I first booked it because of the rating. When I arrived it did look a little outdated but they are putting some fixes in it while I was there. I booked a room with the ocean view and trust me for the amount I paid it was definitely worth it. Usually hotels in that area are wayyyy overpriced but this one wasn’t. If you wanna be close to everything and be close to the beach and maybe even have a view I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is closed -- but their sister property, Four Palms on 43rd St, is actually super nice!”
Upon our check-in at the front desk, we were greeted with an unexpected announcement -- that the hotel just got sold, is closed, and that they'll offer us to stay at their sister property on 43rd st, Four Palms. We got fussy here of course, seeing how that's a full 1.5 miles north from this location, and began to research our options, contacted Agoda about this. To Agoda's credit, they promptly came back to us with three alternatives: either Colony Hotel in the middle of Ocean Drive, the Red around 36th st, for the same price, or we can get a full refund + 10% and find an alternative on our own. We decided to stick with original Seagull booking and try their Four Palms sister property. Thanks to Watson on the front desk, he called and spoke to someone at Four Palms to make sure we get an ocean front room (we had an ocean front booked here at Seagull). So we drove there, were given an ocean front room with balcony, and we absolutely loved the entire property! Very nice and upscale!

Very good value for money”
Can not fault it for the price. The location and room was excellent. The only thing i would say it that it can be noisy at times (other guests), the bathroom hasn't been refurbished at all so its very old and same are the doors. Overall we would come again.

We were so happy with the balcony with sea view, although the bathroom is old and the room is not so modern but you got all what you need there. Staff were helpful, we had a problem in the booking and they helped us solve it, proffesional and friendly.

Lovely experience”
I loved every moment in this hotel. The room was gorgeous. The bathroom was not that modern, but I don't care honestly. I had a wonderful view of the ocean. The pool was also awesome and just a few meters from the beach. I am so sad they closed permanently... But I feel lucky I had the chance to spend some time there.

Standard twin room was quite modern”
Reading some of the reviews on here filled me with trepidation at staying here, but I’ve seen it time and time again and decided to bite the bullet and go for it. Stayed in standard twin room which was just fine. Very comfortable twin beds, new furniture and carpet. The bathroom was a little tired and the door wasn’t in the best condition but the shower was good. The lobby was very basic and has obviously seen better days but as I don’t tend to spend much time there I wasn’t overly bothered. To get to the pool you have to walk through a refurbished area which potentially looks quite nice into the pleasant well kept garden you walk past about 10 brand new exterior bedrooms which looked very nice. The pool itself was very nice with plenty of sun beds and direct gated access to the superb beach behind. From the beach you can wander down the path to Ocean Drive in about 15 mins, but it normally takes longer as you admire the hotel gardens on the way down. There is no resort fee, but there is a daily charge of $2:25 for use of beach towels and the very good Wi-fi. I did hear that the IHG group have bought this hotel so it may well become s holiday inn in the near future

The hotel which was nice and cleaned however our shower & toilet was clogged which was fixed within 15mins.. the customer service was excellent because they tried to accommodate us to feel comfortable the best way they could!! They said it’s getting renovated I believe once the renovation done the hotel will be more stars!!

In comparison with other beach resorts nearby, the Seagull left much to be desired. The lack of a refrigerator and microwave oven put an unnecessary strain on our plans. The parking situation is a joke and makes a testament to the lack of leadership in the immediate area. Non existing valet parking could have possibly prevented the theft of items from my vehicle. The lack of security is an obvious statement to the consideration given to your guests. You fail miserably. You obviously feel that your accommodations are worthy of your rates, but you are wrong. It's not very prudent to ask exorbitant rates and give nothing in return. It's not always about the money but I suppose it depends on which side of the fence you're on, doesn't it? Very unprofessional operation. We will not return nor will we ever recommend you to our friends.

I got bitten twice on my legs due to bed bugs from this hotel. Bites are huge and still there days later! Lots of mattresses were on the ground as looking out the window. Didn’t have a chance to tell reception on check out as there was nobody there for ages and Uber was waiting outside. Location was brilliant but would definitely not recommend to a friend.

The hotel was closed”
We had a reservation from 01/05 to 01/09/2020, and when we arrived at hotel, it was closed, with a advertisement in the door. Finally the announcement said: Go to the Four Palms in Middle Miami Beach (41st Street and Collins Ave.). This hotel was very good, but the location was not the same.
