Great staff, great place! ”
The staff were just amazing! So friendly and professional and can I just mention Alberto, the guy is a legend! How he switches from Spanish to American in a sentence is awe inspiring! He’s a mine of information and can’t wait to get the job done! Apartments are clean and spacious, the cleaning staff are friendly and amazing! Great location, great pool and close to the beach and all the amenities. Only negative is the ground floor apartments are loud, the ceilings are thin and you can track the movements of those occupying above better than a fitbit!!!! Make sure you go 1st floor not ground floor. I’d strongly recommend this and thank you Alberto for being a great host

I was quite surprised on how roomy this place was. One bedroom, 1 bath and 1/2 bath, living room, dining area, and kitchen, and desk for my work laptop. 8 min walk to the beach, 13 min walk to where most restaurants, mall, and night life!

Very good lodging, well located. Expensive during new years, but I guess that's to be expected. Gardener blowing leaves with a motorized blower is noisy in the courtyard during mornings.

Two Co-workre on Vacation ”
Mr. co-worker and I had room 605 and the housekeeping staff would never leave the proper amount of towels and washcloths to accommodate two people. I Ms. Eaddy had to go to the office daily to pickup the towels and washcloth, which was not problems for the hotel clerk they were always courteous about just giving me what was needed. Thank you for a pleasant time and vacation. This was my second time there.

You get what you pay for”
Staff was very nice and helpful. Location is perfect. No garbage liners was odd (you had to ask for them). Room floors weren't very clean, but at least the rooms were very spacious. Neighboring room experienced flooding during a rain storm, removing any lasting confidence I had in coming back here again. It might be worth it to pay for something a bit more expensive.

Good location, but a bit noisy.”
The location is great - just steps from the beach and within walking distance of everything in the South Beach area. The room was ok. Slightly rundown and not cleaned every day (although they tell you that right off the bat). Also it was a bit noisy. Tons of rooms/suites, so also tons of other guests hanging around.

Needs an upgrade! ”
I’ve stayed at the tradewinds multiple times in the past and I’ve never had a problem with anything. This time however I had to change rooms due to the fact that my initial room (604) had wayyyy to many issues. Upon entry you could tell the room hasn’t been used for some time. There was dust and rust on things. It wasn’t something I couldn’t live with however I had to ask my spouse to turn on the shower for me because it was rusted shut. After he managed to get it open there was no hot water so we called for maintenance. Everything had to be shut off in order for the water to get rest. Then the shower leaked loudly all night. Next morning woke to a puddle from the AC. Waited 2hrs for maintenance which never came so I went to the front desk where I was given a room change. Things were off in that room as well but livable. There was a leak around the window the night before I was to leave which I reported. This place needs updating to restore to what it was.

Room was spacious. Bathroom very small, however. Lobby of hotel very small making egress/entry sometimes difficult moving around people and suitcases. Parking was non-existent unless one paid $32 per night to use hotel’s small lot. Larger cars made parking sometimes a challenge. Pool unheated and the constant music blasting was for me unpleasant. TV reception was good, but limited to very basic cable stations. No movie option available. Happy hour available at a “sister” hotel which was a bit of a trek from Tradewinds. Parking near Sister” impossible.

I enjoyed the fact that we had a kitchen I enjoyed the location was not too far from the beach as far as the cleanliness I had to go to the nearest convenience store and clean up myself and after the rain I was killing multiple roaches in our rooms

When I first check in. When I got to my room my sheets had dirt stains on them so they relocated us to another room to only find that one had roaches in them. Than the parking is bad. I would never stay here again.

Very thin walls. Was in lower apt. Could here people walking all night. After a 15 hour trip would of been nice to sleep. NO PARKING ON SITE. BE PREPARED TO PAY FOR DAILY PARKING 2 BLOCKS AWAY.

I will stay here every single time”
After reading some other reviews I wasn’t sure if it was going to be great or terrible but let me just say this place blew any other hotel I have ever stayed at out of the water it was great and we didn’t even use the pool the apartment style hotel rooms are fantastic with each room having separate living rooms bathrooms kitchens and bedrooms I stayed in the one bedroom when I visited Miami for my surgery and the apartment was huge nearly every hotel in Miami was over 225 a night but here it was half that with beautiful modern rooms and welcoming staff and hotel comfort I felt like I was right at home they gave me extra pillows without question like 7 extra pillows because I had to super sitting up after surgery I was able to get as many extra towels as we needed without question the staff at the front desk was super helpful with all of our needs they made our stay so much easier than I could have ever hoped for i love it at this hotel!!!! I did see what some of the reviews were talking about when it came to a insect in the room which sadly they should do research before posting negative reviews they are not roaches by no means they are water bugs you are in a sunny tropical location you are guaranteed Perry much to have water bugs and tropical insects in your home just like we in North Carolina have house flies Florida has native water bugs some people just like to be more bouchée then they can afford to be and need to get over themselves!!!!! I recommend this hotel 100% 100x OVER Don’t even attempt to find some where better you won’t be able to do it

Would not stay EVER again”
From the first contact with staff here to the last interaction, trying to get a receipt at check out, nothing but excuses lies and delays. while checking in two of the managers became irate. We were yelled at for asking questions. When I asked for a printed copy of our receipt, told their printer is out of ink , just one story after another. Other than the extremely large roaches facility was for the most part clean. Roaches were in the bedroom, the kitchen and in the bathroom. I would never recommend this place to anyone not even someone I did not like.

Trade winds is well worth the money! Apartment was clean and spacious. Love the fact that there was a fully stocked kitchen with all the things you needed to prepare a meal. Saved money on breakfast and snacks. Staff was excellent and helpful. Is not in the center of South Beach but a 5 to 20 minute drive anywhere. Woul definitely stay here again.

Jessica Front Desk is a Gem”
Through a search engine I found this hotel Unfortunately some information was not updated and I ended up without an airport shuttle. Upon check in found out the swimming pool was closed starting the day of my arrival for several days. Thank goodness for Jessica at the front desk listening to me complaining and completely calming me down. Than headed off to there sister hotel for dinner. Unfortunately since I was by myself the hostess at taco would only seat me at the bar for dinner. I asked 3 times for a table which there were still quiet a few left. So I left since I did not want to eat dinner at the bar. The place itself is nice and spacious. With a few minor issues in my apartment with no curtains on one window in the bedroom, there were blinds - not functioning proper, rust stain running down the spout of the bath tube, stained chair in the living room …. Ohhh was looking for a luggage rack. Location is great if you want to be close but not in an happening area.
