Everything was nice except when we made the check in”
Everything was nice except when we made the check in...it was nice except the checking system was little bit annoyed me...although in my booking confirmation the checking time was 1:00 when I arrived there, they told me that the checking time was at 4 p.m. I was waiting there until 4 but before 4 , I went to the counter again and asked them for estimated time that I could get in they responded to me that @4. At the same time some people arrived to the hotel and they can make the check in right away. After complain them so many time , they gave me the room around 3:50..when I arrived to the room noticed that at my floor 9 floor, I saw only housekeeper was cleaning the room...I should suggest it would be better if they have more housekeeper to clean room in this way we could make the room check in quickly. Also they should make sure that check in time announcement either 1 or 4 p.m Otherwise it was very nice location and very nice location..

Riu Resort”
I stayed at other Riu Resorts in other places and this one was not what I expected. To start off, we were sent an email saying that check in was at 13:00, but the rooms were not ready until 16:00. There was only one elevator working, so it took a very long time to go to your room or to come down. The valet staff basically tell you to tip them, even though their service is not good at all. It took us 35 minutes to give the car to the valet, and another 25 minutes to get it back. The hotel looks nice on the pictures, but it’s a very old hotel, with lots of maintenance needed. I would give it a 3 star for rooms and staff, and 4 star for pool and bar, because the beach is dirty and we did not use it (beaches are dirty all over miami beach). Another thing we did not like was when they gave us cards to exchange for beach towels. And if we lost one of the cards we would be charged 10$ for each lost card. Very few hotels do this and it’s usually the cheap ones.

Good Location, Poor Service”
I reserved this room through Agoda and they took 2 hours to get us checked in to access our room due to internal technical difficulties with the reservation. It was very inconvenient for us and when I requested my valet fee be covered at checkout as compensation they refused and only covered a $12 resort fee that they said was in addition to what I reserved online which was a pretty weak offer up given the wait we had to incur.

I loved the pool area and the buffet breakfast. It was great. The only downsize was paying $42 to park..but I guess that's common on South Beach

Overall good value for money”
We stayed at Riu hotel for the July 4th holiday weekend. It was expected to be busy, the staff accommodated us very well. Christopher (front desk) was very nice and thoroughly provided us the information we need. I love the overall look of the property- spacious lobby, huge breakfast area with decent selections (I am very glad that the buffet has returned after pandemic) and nice pool area. I wish they have extended hours for pool use (it is only until 7 PM). Beach access is just few steps away from the property. I am glad I chose this location for a busy weekend as we made the most of our stay in Miami with a great location Riu has!

Overall terrible experience ”
I booked my room a month early, was going for just one night for my friends engagement party and when i arrived they couldn’t find my reservation took them 5 hours and were rude the whole time. Will not be back to that place.

Only 2 lifts. No instructions on how many people can come in lift. Heater does not work in room

Elevator didn’t work for 3 of the 4 nights we were there. One morning breakfast was done serving at 10 AM and would not let us eat. Other morning’s breakfast was okay....eggs were runny sausage and bacon were undercooked. Stains on hallway walls. Rooms AC was uncomfortable and made everything in the room feel wet bc the u it wasn’t pulling the humidity out of the air. Bartender was rude first two nights and rushed us both nights to pay out.

Otroligt lyhört hotell man kan höra allt från korridoren och ingen hjälpsam personal vid sen avresa för ex duschmöjligheter mm Dyrt alternativ och inte samma Riu Class som vi bott på tidigare.. kaos och trångt vid frukosten.
